Some of the top 20 facilities in college football, according to 247 Sports, share something truly special: solid surface lockers from Shield.
For 2019, two facilities with Shield lockers made the cut: Northwestern at #20 and South Carolina at #7.
Shield crafted 126 player lockers for Northwestern football. We worked with the university’s athletic department and the architecture and design team to elevate Northwestern’s locker room. Shield constructed more than 600 lockers for the Walter Athletics Center which all follow football’s lead. That’s something that has never been done in an athletic facility before.

Head coach Pat Fitzgerald spoke to 247 Sports about their new facilities.
“It’s great for recruiting obviously, but the day-to-day is why we built what we built where we built and why we built everything for our student-athletes,” Fitzgerald said.
Shield made South Carolina 124 player lockers. South Carolina’s lockers feature custom stitched seat cushions featuring their signature garnet. It’s in the little details that makes every one of Shield’s lockers unique.

“It all goes back to investment,” head coach Will Muschamp said. “When you invest in the student-athlete, it’s very easy to see and it’s tangible to see the investment we’re making. You’re talking about 110,000 square foot facility, $50 million and it is absolutely beautiful.”
Let Shield help elevate your locker room.
