In 2020, University of New Mexico Athletics began renovating the women's basketball lockers at "The Pit" University arena.

Shield worked collaboratively with the university's athletic department to deliver 15 player lockers truly unique to the needs of New Mexico Lobos basketball. The lockers feature a solid surface build, laminate back, solid surface door, and solid hardwood bench face. Additional features include routed color-infilled logo, overhead storage with integrated USB and power, backlit acrylic nameplate, jersey and toe kick lighting, locking door with digital lock, and perforated bench face.

In total, 15 lockers found their new home at The Pit, setting the bar for recovery and recruitment in the Mountain West basketball space.

Shield has also created track/cross country and swim/dive lockers for the Lobos.
