SHIELD BRINGS SOLID SURFACE BASKETBALL LOCKERS TO THE TAR HEELS

In 2022, University of North Carolina Athletics began renovating Carmichael Arena. Gensler was named the architect on the project, and Shield Lockers was tapped to manufacture the lockers.

Completed in 2022, Shield worked collaboratively with Gensler and the University of North Carolina to bring their vision to life and deliver 17 player lockers truly unique to the Tar Heels. The lockers feature a solid surface build and a laminate back. Additional features include: 

• Illuminated shoe storage
• Custom logo door pull
• Inductive charging
• Integrated USB + power
• Marine-grade vinyl seat
• Ventilated lower bench
• Direct print logo
